Dr. Chairul Hudaya is the 4th rector of Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS). The inauguration event for the rector was held on February 16, 2020 at Rumah Publik Kreatif, UTS, attended by all lecturers, staffs and the management of Dea Mas Foundation. The founder of UTS, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, S.E., M.Sc. who is the ruling governor of West Nusa Tenggara Barat, leading the oath-taking of the rector.
In his inauguration speech, Dr. Hudaya told that he did not have any specific vision to bring the university more advanced, as the vision of the university established by the founder has reflected an excellent vision to achieve the determined goals. The UTS vision of being an enjoyable and comfortable home of learning to roundly grow as human benefiting the universe is believed as the perfect vision. To implement this vision, he brought down the slogan of “UTS grounded and global” (UTS Membumi dan Mendunia).
UTS Grounded (UTS Membumi) means that as the higher education institution, UTS shall actively contribute to solve the rooted problems faced by societies through learning, research and community services. The existence of UTS should give benefit to the society. Meanwhile UTS Global (UTS Mendunia) reflects all activities of civitas academica shall participate in various global endeavours to hand-in-hand create the better world.
